On Monday the OUH Post-graduate centre will host the July OxDAT day with a Neuro theme. We have a great programme of speakers covering topics from cycle helmets to EEG and awareness.

We will once again be pairing ST3s with senior trainees at OUH for the new starters in August. This year we will be expanding the scheme to include CT1 Anaesthetists and ACCS Anaesthetics throughout the Deanery.

Thank you for all who attended our welfare session today, once again organised by Segun Olusanya to whom we are very grateful. The subject of physician distress, depression and occasional suicide is a difficult to discuss and has often been stigmatised by a historically macho profession. I hope it is clear from days such as today, and the increasing prominence of 'burnout' talks at major conferences such as SMACC and ICS SOA, that this is a thing of the past.
If you are struggling please talk to your partner, your family, your friends, anyone really. There were many professional and peer support networks mentioned today, summarised below.
